（香港／阿布達比，2018 年 4 月 26 日）長江和記實業集團（「長和集團」）與 Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC （「Etisalat 集團」）簽訂最終協議，合併雙方分別於斯里蘭卡的流動電訊業務 Hutchison Telecommunications Lanka (Private) Limited（「Hutch Lanka」）及 Etisalat Lanka (Private) Limited（「ESL」）。

Hutch Lanka 和 ESL 的業務合併將有利雙方為斯里蘭卡客戶提供更佳服務。是次合併是 Etisalat 集團明言提升其投資組合策略的一步，合併完成後，長和集團將持有合併公司的控制性股權。合併須待多項先決條件達成後，方可作實，其中包括取得斯里蘭卡的競爭及監管機構批准。

倘是次合併有任何重要進展，雙方將根據上市規則另行作出公告。
