HAECO named Leading Independent MRO Organisation

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO) has been named "Leading Independent MRO Organisation" at the 2012 Aviation Week MRO of the Year Awards held in Dallas, Texas, USA on 3rd April 2012. The award, organised by the leading aviation publication Aviation Week's Overhaul & Maintenance, underscores HAECO's achievements in managing its Cabin Management Centre service to support Cathay Pacific Airways to ensure aircraft cabin conditions are maintained to the highest quality standard.

The Aviation Week MRO of the Year Awards honour the best maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and aftermarket aviation industry companies around the world for pioneering achievements and value-adding accomplishments annually. The prestigious industry awards were presented in conjunction with the Aviation Week's MRO Americas 2012 Conference & Exhibition in Dallas.

"The MRO of the Year Award for Leading Independent MRO Organisation goes to Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company. HAECO jointly developed its Cabin Management Centre service with Cathay Pacific Airways, delivering great results in reducing cabin defects. The Cabin Maintenance Center's team of 50 cabin specialists is made up of HAECO staff as well as representatives from Cathay Pacific and vendors for seats and inflight entertainment systems. By using this collaborative model, HAECO created synergy between all parties involved in the cabin management of the airline's fleet, dramatically shortening service lead times and achieving excellent outcomes for its customer," said Lee Ann Tegtmeier, Editor in Chief of Overhaul & Maintenance, Aviation Week.
