Taikoo (Xiamen) Landing Gear Services Co. Ltd. ("TALSCO"), the landing gear overhaul facility of Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited ("HAECO"), has received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to perform landing gears repair and overhaul services for the A320 family (A319/A320/A321).
TALSCO has acquired two ship sets of A320 landing gears to expand its pool of rotable assets which will allow the company to better serve customers operating the A320 family aircraft. TALSCO is also in the process of establishing repair and overhaul capabilities for landing gears of the A330 family, expected to be in place by year end 2012.
TALSCO possesses comprehensive landing gear overhaul capabilities, which include repair and overhaul of Boeing 737NG, 737CL, 747, 757, 767, 777 and Airbus A320 units. The company is also approved by the authorities to carry out special processes for non-landing gear parts: Non-destructive Inspection, Grinding, Shot Peening, Plating and Painting. TALSCO has invested in a rotable pool of spare landing gears, namely, Boeing 737NG, 737CL, 747, 757, 767, 777 and now the A320 to better serve customers' needs.
