(香港，2016 年 5 月 11 日) 集團對歐盟競爭委員會決定阻止 3 英國與 O2 UK 的合併感到非常失望，我們將仔細研究委員會決定，並將考慮各種對策，包括可能提出上訴。
我們確信合併本應會為英國帶來重大利益，除了可為英國數碼基建帶來高達 100 億英鎊的私營企業投資外，英國國內的覆蓋率問題會得到改善，網絡容量、速度及惠及全國消費者與商戶的價格競爭都可得以加強，並能處理目前英國流動網絡營運商之間頻譜擁有權顯著失衡所引起的競爭問題。
集團現在將專注與歐盟競爭委員會合作，以使我們提出的 3 意大利與 WIND 合併計劃通過，並繼續推行可為長和集團帶來價值的策略。
