(Italy, 4 July 2013) 3 Italia and Telecom Italia have had very preliminary exploratory contacts on a possible combination of their businesses in recent days. On the basis of these contacts, 3 Italia has concluded that further discussions on a possible combination of their businesses are not warranted because it would not be in a position to obtain approval from its parent company for a transaction at this stage.
