(二零一一年三月十一日，香港：) 太古股份有限公司主席白紀圖的夫人Francesca Pratt今天為太古海洋開發公司的新船Pacific Champion號命名典禮擔任主禮嘉賓。Pacific Champion號是一艘具備 16,314 匹馬力的全新 UT786 Clean Design 拋錨補給拖船，由韓國蔚山的Sekwang Heavy Industries 建造。該船符合 C冰級標誌與 Comfort (V3) 標誌的規格， 並具備四百噸拉力的絞車。連同其他功能如 Fi-Fi II (消防), DP2 (動態定位)及浮油回收，這艘強大及具備高性能的新船適合多種離岸任務，特別在深水及惡劣環境，更可拖引世界最大型的船隻。Pacific Champion號加上太古海洋開發公司現有的七十五艘船，構成更完善的船隊，為全球離岸石油及天然氣開採公司提供離岸支援服務。

太古海洋開發公司於一九七五年成立，為太古股份有限公司的全資附屬公司。該公司是為離岸石油及天然氣開採業提供支援服務的主要公司，擁有及營運一支共有七十五艘船隻的船隊，可支援多種離岸工作。該公司總部設於新加坡，分部遍佈澳洲、阿塞拜彊、汶萊、喀麥隆、赤道畿內亞、印度、馬來西亞、新西蘭、尼日利亞、卡塔爾、蘇格蘭及阿聯酋。除北美洲外，各主要石油開採區均有該公司的船隻作業。
