2012年5月25日，香港 - 太古地產有限公司（「太古地產」）宣佈，旗下全資附屬公司Swire Properties MTN Financing Limited設立總值30億美元的中期票據發行計劃，發行的票據將由太古地產給予無條件及不可撤回的擔保。由此計劃發行為期多於一年的票據，已分別獲惠譽國際評級有限公司給予「A評級」、穆迪投資者服務公司評為「(P)A2評級」，以及標準普爾「A-評級」。
通過是項中期票據發行計劃，太古地產在未來有需要時，將可直接從資本市場籌措資金。在此計劃下，公司可發行以美元或其他貨幣結算的票據，金額和票據年期不限。
香港聯合交易所有限公司已有條件批准是項中期票據發行計劃上市，和允許於計劃下發行票據進行交易。香港上海匯豐銀行有限公司和渣打銀行擔任是項中期票據發行計劃的安排行。
