FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2nd December 2007

Swire Pacific Limited
Refreshing Retail Mix and Leading Mall Design of Pacific Place

Swire Properties (Sunday, 2 December 2007) is proud to announce the arrival of a variety of new shops at Pacific Place. Together with the planned 'Contemporisation' upgrading project, the strong retail mix will reinforce the appeal of Pacific Place as the leading mall in Hong Kong, boasting creatively designed shopping, dining and lifestyle space.

Known for its substantial collection of international brands, the offering at Pacific Place has been further enhanced by some 20,000 sq ft of new shops for the style-conscious. The new brands include US designer Diane von Furstenberg, British lifestyle brand Ted Baker, and Hong Kong's first standalone boutique for Italian shoemaker Sergio Rossi.

Lane Crawford Home, an exciting 14,000 sq ft lifestyle concept store and Lane Crawford's very first in Hong Kong, has also just opened at L1 in Pacific Place.

'A vibrant retail mix is needed to meet the constantly changing expectations of our clientele, and to reinforce the mall's elegant personality,' says Chris Heywood, Senior Portfolio Manager of Swire Properties. 'We are delighted to see the addition of these new brands at Pacific Place, to provide more refreshing choices for our customers.'

On top of the enhancement of the retail mix, Pacific Place is also undergoing a series of upgrading initiatives to provide an even more people-focused environment. With the engagement of leading British designer Thomas Heatherwick, who has been described by The Times as 'the most creative brain in Britain', upcoming innovations will offer Pacific Place customers an unrivalled lifestyle experience. To provide more personalised services, spacious and tastefully designed restrooms, as well as a new baby changing room, have now been introduced. The new facilities have a wave-like design, adopting natural timber materials, non-glossy stone flooring and first-of-its-kind hinge-less design doors. A significant number of extra cubicles have been added for the female restroom to meet customer needs. To improve accessibility, new escalators from the car park to the Mall are currently being installed and should be ready for use early in the new year.

Offering 700,000 sq ft of retail space, Pacific Place is Hong Kong's premier shopping and social destination, seamlessly linked to three five-star hotels and a premium business community by means of its location in the CBD. Planned with the style-conscious in mind, it now houses over 140 retail shops, including a full collection of international luxury brands.
