Sino-Ocean and Swire Properties' Chengdu Joint-venture Retail Project Named
"Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu"

(3 June 2013, Beijing) Sino-Ocean Land and Swire Properties jointly announced today the name of their Chengdu joint-venture retail project as "Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu" (成都遠洋太古里).

Located in the heart of Chengdu Jinjiang District and in close proximity to the popular Chunxi Road shopping circle, Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu represents an open-plan, lane-driven mall covering over 1,140,000 sq ft (over 100,000 sqm)*. The retail centre is complemented by a 100-room intriguing urban hotel, The Temple House, and 42 serviced apartments, both managed by Swire Hotels, as well as a 47-storey Grade A office tower called Pinnacle One. Upon completion, the over 2,710,000 sq ft (250,000 sqm)* complex will be directly connected to Chunxi Road metro station where Metro Lines 2 and 3 interchange.

The architectural design of Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu embraces the traditional Sichuan style with a creative modern approach. The low-rise, lane-driven mall will allow retail outlets to express their brand identities to the fullest. In addition, six heritage buildings lie within the site, all of which are to be preserved and reused. The adjacent Daci Temple will add to the historical and cultural flavour of the complex.

"Riding on the success of Taikoo Li Sanlitun, we are excited with the launch of Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li in Chengdu," said Guy Bradley, Swire Properties' Chief Executive Officer - Mainland China. "We are very proud of this development, and confident that the project will become a bustling urban lifestyle hub in this dynamic city. Visitors will find the exploration of over 300 retail and food and beverage brands around the lanes, courtyards and plazas a truly different and enjoyable experience when the complex opens next year."

The shopping streets of Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu feature a carefully crafted high-end brand mix including GUCCI, Cartier, Hermès, Ralph Lauren, Chloé, Maria Luisa, Balmain and I.T. Quality culinary line-up includes popular Michelin-starred restaurants Din Tai Fung and Tasty, together with KABB, Blue Frog, Element Fresh, Grappa's and Wagas. Palace Cinema and Ole' Supermarket will offer their premium entertainment and lifestyle experience at Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu.

"As a strategic collaboration between Sino-Ocean Land and Swire Properties, Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu is a unique new offering for the city of Chengdu," said Li Ming, Chief Executive Officer of Sino-Ocean Land. "We're excited to see the crossover between modern and traditional culture brought by this project, and feel that its open-lane concept, combined with a diverse retail and dining mix and highly experienced management team, will serve to make Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu a new cultural and commercial landmark in the city."

Mr. Bradley said that The Temple House would add yet another exciting dimension to the complex. The Temple House is the third House by Swire Hotels following the success of The Opposite House in Beijing and The Upper House in Hong Kong. "The Temple House rounds off the special attraction of Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu beautifully," he added.

Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu is the second joint-venture project by Sino-Ocean Land and Swire Properties, after INDIGO Beijing which opened officially in September 2012. The complex is scheduled to open in phases from 2014 onwards.
