Singapore, 23 April 2015 - Shipowner and operator, Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Ltd (SPO) won the SRS Shipowner of the Year award at the Singapore International Maritime Awards (IMA) 2015 ceremony held on Tuesday, 21 April 2015 at The Ritz-Carlton, Millennia Singapore.
Held as one of the anchor events of the Singapore Maritime Week (19 - 24 April 2015), the biennial Singapore IMA ceremony seeks to give recognition to individuals and companies for their contributions to Singapore's development as a premier global hub port and an international maritime centre. The event is organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

This is the first time that SPO has won this award. Past recipients of this award include BW Group in 2013 and Pacific International Lines in 2011.
SPO is a fully owned subsidiary of Swire Pacific Limited. As part of its 40th anniversary celebrations, SPO has lined up a series of industry engagement programmes and community projects. On 25 March 2015, SPO hosted two exclusive guided tours for 50 industry partners and clients onboard the newly launched vessels, Pacific Goldfinch and Pacific Centurion at the Loyang Offshore Supply Base. On 28 April 2015, 40 SPO employees will be going to the Bright Vision Hospital to paint two Singapore-themed murals, "Garden of Faith" and "Reminiscing Singapore" to bring cheer to patients and care-givers.
